There are few things to remember to keep your mouth and smile healthy:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Brush your teeth twice a day with soft-bristled brush. The brush size and shape should fit your mouth and allow you to reach all areas easily.<\/li>\n<li>Replace your brush every 3- 4 months or if you notice bristles are frayed. Worn out toothbrush will not do a good job of cleaning.<\/li>\n<li>Use an ADA- accepted fluoride-based toothpaste.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">What is the proper technique?<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Place toothbrush at 45-degree angle to the gums.<\/li>\n<li>Gently move the brush back and forth in short strokes.<\/li>\n<li>Brush outer surfaces, inner surfaces, and the chewing surfaces of teeth.<\/li>\n<li>To clean inside surface of front teeth, tilt the brush vertically and make several up and down strokes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Brushing your teeth is only part of your dental care routine. You should also make sure to do the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Clean between teeth daily once a day. Tooth decay causing bacterial still linger between teeth.
